If you are an admin and would like to reset a user's password in Moodle, please follow the steps below.


Steps:

  1. In the Administration block, navigate to Site administration > Users > Accounts > Browse list of users.

  2. From the list of accounts, find the account you would like to change and click the settings button under Edit.
  3. Under the "New password" field, enter in your desired password.
    Note: To avoid making mistakes, you can click "Unmask" next to "New password". This allows you to see the password you are typing in.
  4. Click the "Update profile" button at the bottom of the page to confirm your changes.
